Saturday is Caption Day 29th September 2012
Archie Boy has been poorly the last few weeks. The end of winter and introduction of Day Care has left him a miserable wee soul!
Until that is the beginning of the week. We started him on antibiotics and the transformation has been amazing! He's eating, playing and sleeping happily like a baby boy should.
Thank f*^%k! I thought we had bred a monster!
I got this SatCap picture of him and his sister on the day that I knew we had Archie Boy back ...

Bubbles
I am a particular fan of bubbles ... the delicious alcoholic variety! Unfortunate expensive taste but jolly yummy!
Darling Daughter and Second Born Son quite like them too ... thankfully the soapy bubble kind. They love it when I blow big bubbles for them while they are in the bath and Maisie loves to chase bubbles down the beach.
I was lucky enough to have half an hour to prowl pinterest this afternoon and found these ...
Apparently if you pour the contents of a glow stick into some bubbles hey presto you create glow in the dark bubbles. If this is true this is awesomeness made easy!
Think this is a wee project for me and my babies at the weekend. Saturday night is bubbles night for mummy and daddy. Why not for the babies too?
If it is a success I would like to try homemade actual bubbles! If anyone would like to share any recipes here in the comments, on my twitter or on my Facebook page. Any reports back or pictures of the glow in the dark bubbles would be great too.

Meal Planning Monday 10th September 2012
In no particular order this week we will be having ...
Pressing publish now otherwise it will be next Monday before we know it!
- Steak Stir fry - Lovely Hubby just pan fries some steak, frozen stir fry veg and adds a stirring sauce. Serve with some noodles and hey presto! A handy tip for those anyone out there who like me has no patience for eating noodles ... Chop them up with scissors. I like to eat most of my meals with a spoon! Guaranteed to allow you to shovel in every last morsel at break neck speed!
- Cheese toasties - nice and easy for one of the nights I finish work later. We'll make them a bit more interesting with ham, mustard and jalapeƱos added to the cheese
- My Mums Chicken Curry - household favorite, get the recipe here Not So Super Scottish Mummy: Chicken Curry Recipe...Warning it's Hot Hot Hot!
- Pasta with bacon and veg - not a week goes by when we don't have this
- Chick pea curry and chicken - this is meant to be a vegetarian dish served with rice, but we have grilled chicken with the chickpea curry on the side. Get the recipe for the curry here Chickpea and Tomato Curry Recipe - Quick and easy at countdown.co.nz
- Lentil Dahl - quick and easy, the recipe is from a friend of a friend. I will need to seek permission before sharing this baby
- Baked potato with cheese and pickle - no explanation needed here. Another easy option for an simple after work meal
Pressing publish now otherwise it will be next Monday before we know it!

My Version of the Sunday Papers
Today we had a lazy Sunday! Yummy food, booze, movies! Oh yeah and pinterest! Perfect!
Here are some of the funnies that made me snigger!
We watched The Hunger Games the other night! I loved it! It was really good. This would have meant nothing to me otherwise! I can't wait till the next installment!
Tooooo cute!
Must remember this trick for later life ...
My next drinking game! Stick a rash on your Telly box and take a drink each time it lines up with someone's face! Think it may get funnier with drink!
Must ask my beauty therapist to do this next time ...
Why I am nervous to join my cherubs playing at the park! Pretty sure knowing my luck this would happen to me!
I really wish I thoughu of this when I had my bump earlier on in the year!
I could add many more but I'll save them up for later xxx
Oh yeah forgot about this! It's been stormy, actual proper stormy weather here in The Wellington Region! I read this article and lol'd. Its always windy flying into Welly! It is called Windy Welly after all! It must have been super bad for this to happen ...

Meal Planning Monday 3rd September 2012
Eeek ... Bit late this week! But a plan was made I just haven't had time to write it up yet. This working for a living business is somewhat time consuming!!!
Sunday - it was fathers day here in New Zealand so we went out for a big lunch so for dinner we just had cheese toasties. We use our panini press and Lovely Hubby packs them full with cheese (funnily enough!), ham and jalapeƱos!
Monday - it was my birthday on Tuesday so Lovely Hubby and I went out for tea on Monday. We went to a cool place called Valhallah. It has changed hands unsuccessfully many a time but the guise it has opened as most recently is as a Stone Grill! I fricking love it. A hot hot (super hot stone that takes hours to cool and that the kitchen staff need special gloves from the fire department to handle!) stone with a big hunk of raw meat that you chop up yourself and sear each piece as you want! As usual pig pants me finished Lovely Hubbies dinner too!
Tuesday - lovely hubby made one of my fave dinners for my birthday tea, pasta with steak and a blue cheese sauce. It's so tasty but it is so bad for you. He makes it with cooking cream, blue cheese, peppers/capsicums, and onion. This time he popped in some chickpeas too which were a great addition. For pudding we had ice cream cake. Ice cream cake on birthdays is now a Simpson family tradition ... Nom nom nom!
Wednesday - Lovely Hubby is in Auckland today for a meeting so I will have some Lentil Dahl ready for his return.
Thursday - I will be gyming after work so we will have normal, boring but tasty pasta and sauce when I get home.
Friday - we'll have baked potatoes with beans and cheese with Darling Daughter. I'm out for birthday drinkies with 'The Girls' later in the evening!
Saturday - the yummy Sweet Potato/Kumara Curry from last weeks meal plan with some prawns chucked in!
What is everyone else eating this week?
I'll try to be on time and linked up correctly next week!
