Easy Peasy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Lets face it it has to be easy for me to tackle it! If the ingredients are not in my cupboards already, forget it!

I've been researching the art of the perfect chocolate chip cookies! I have had a few failed batches. My particular favourite is the pre bought cookie dough but I've even managed to cock that up on occasion! One recipe that I can manage is one from a friend of a friend! A 'shove it all in the bowl and get a different but good result each time' job!

During my research I have learned a couple of things ... Melt the butter, don't turn the oven up to the full temp it's meant to be and check on the baking a couple of minutes before the cooking time is up!

I have been pinning cookie recipes like there is no tomorrow so I thought it was about time I tried one of them!

I got this recipe from Plain Chicken. It looked relatively simple and simply delicious!

Here we have my effort ...

They don't exactly look the same! Three reasons/excuses for that ...
  1. The recipe called for bisquick, I had to google it. It's some kind of cake/baking ready made mix. Pancake mix came up the most so we just used pancake mix.
  2. The recipe said press down if you want so I did hence they are flatter.
  3. I get the impression. That the mix is just meant to plopped on the tray but I couldn't help but roll the portions for each cookie in my palms!
Anyhoo they are delicious! I took a batch to work and they were gobbled up!

  1. Personally, I find pancake mix to taste better then bisquick. I use it in my Egg bake recipe. Either way, they do look amazing.
