... get fitter, eat healthier, drink less, have fun with the kids... DAY 12

Get Fitter
  • I did an hours worth of Cardio at the gym this morning! It's a rainy, sweaty, horrible day so no outside activity! Quite nice just to plod away with the earphones plugged in and in my own wee world!
  • I had a go at a core workout I found on Pinterest. The first 4 exercises were ok but I got a bit lost when I got to the last 2! I'll give it another go tomorrow night.

Eat Healthier
  • I started the day better today with a protein shake with added bananas and berries!
  • We all had scrambled eggs on toast with a wee bit of lean bacon on the side for lunch.
  • I snacked on 'beer sticks ' with Lovely Hubby. What the %#€¥ are they! They are a dried beef snack. Not sure how good they are for you but they are low in fat and high in protein! And they taste damn good!
  • I made a batch of cookies (blog post to follow) for the kids. Of course I had to try one! I work on the theory that if its home made by me it's ok because of the calories burned making them, stressing about how to do it and clearing up after wards! I have had one and I will have another with a cup of tea before bed!
  • For dinner we had macaroni cheese muffins (with spinach through them), breaded pork escalope and some courgettes on the side.

Drink Less (alcohol, more water)
Zero alcohol.
3 litres of water.

Have Fun With The Kids
As I mentioned the weather has left a lot to be desired today so we haven't done anything particularly 'fun'. Darling Daughter has mainly been content playing with her toys. She helped me bake for a minute or two! She's more interested in spoon and bowl licking (sensible girl). We cuddled down and watched a movie while her brother slept.
Second Born Son seems to have had little to no fun! He has spent most of the day moaning. I fear he may be teething! He's also getting frustrated now with the no walking thing! He's not really been bothered up and till now but I think he's keen to get on his feet!

Weigh in tomorrow! I have a couple of new tricks up my sleeve and an incentive to announce!

  2. get netflix for your gym time. Is life changing! I have worked my way through Mob Wives, Basketball Wives, Kourtney and Khole take Miami, Keeping up with the Kardashians, Say Yes to the Dress, and am currently enjoying Who's Wedding is it Anyway? total TRASH but who cares?! Makes that time slip by...

    1. Sounds like a good plan! I have never used music when working out and have started to now! Great for running and in the gym I listen to podcasts! I may look stupid giggling away to Hamish and Andy but the time whizzes past!
